Youth and Family Activities

We want all youth and their families to find a special place in our loving congregation.  Zion has several fellowship and faith-building opportunities for young people and are adding more all the time!  Please contact the church office or click on the “Upcoming Events” tab above for details about these activities.

New!!  Zion Roots Youth Ministry

Every third Thursday of the month, grades 2nd-12th will meet from 5pm-7pm in the Fellowship Hall. Dinner will be provided, followed by an age-appropriate Bible Study and ending with a fun “How To” class or group game. Registration is required. Please click here for the online registration form.

Movie Nights

Each month we show a movie that is fun for the whole family!  Popcorn and drinks are provided; just bring chairs, pillows and blankets to sit on.  All movies are rated G or PG.  There are also handouts that explain some of the themes seen in the movies for families to discuss together afterwards.

Vacation Bible School (VBS) 2024

We are excited to have kicked off our planning of VBS this year.  Our theme is “Celebrate the Savior”, and we will be gathering June 24th-27th from 5pm-8pm.  We are currently looking for volunteers for our event. If you are able and interested, please email education@zionkent.org.

Confirmation Camp 2024

Zion’s Middle School students will again get an opportunity to attend Lutherhaven in Coeur d’Alene, ID this year. The dates for our trip are July 28 – August 2nd.  The students will attend this overnight camp that immerses them in a camp experience with youth from other churches, including mealtimes, outdoor activities, Bible encounter, chapel, campfires, and more.
