Covid-19 Announcement: Both the council president and Pastor Barry came to the joint decision to cancel all meetings and gatherings at Zion until further notice. This includes our Sunday services, choir practice, bible studies and committee meetings.
We are now in Phase 2 and anticipate that we will be prepared to open on July 5th. Due to social distancing requirements when we resume our 9:00 am service it will be restricted to a maximum of 72 worshipers. This means that while we are in this time of mandated attendance restrictions both individuals and families will have to sign-up in order to attend an upcoming worship service. Please call the church office at 253-631-0100 or email firstname.lastname@example.org no later than 3:00 pm on the Thursday before an upcoming worship service if you wish to attend. You are asked to include your name, number in your group, contact information, and the date of the service you wish to attend. You will receive a confirmation of your reservation via phone or email. The service will continue to be streamed on YouTube and available as a recording via Facebook for those who are not able to attend. We will all be excited to see one another again! We ask that each person take care to maintain proper social distancing measures and other hygiene practices for your own sake and out of love and concern for your neighbor. We will reach out and provide instructions and links as these become known via the http://www.zionkent.org/ webpage, Zion Lutheran Church Kent Facebook group, and the church voicemail.
We pray that these measures and others being taken within King County, Washington State, the nation and the world will help contain the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
May God bless you and keep your family healthy and safe.
We are beginning the brand-new official prayer chain for Zion Lutheran church. If you have any prayer chain requests please email to the office (email@example.com) and Lori can send them out. (Please do not leave a message on the church phone as the office is closed until at least May 4th per Governor Insee’s orders. Thank you).
