Serving Groups are a great way to reach out and get involved
Matt. 28:19-20

God works through us to pour out our lives in service to family, friend and neighbor.

Worship Service Teams

You can enjoy the many rewards of service by serving in the congregation on one of our Sunday Morning Serving Teams. We encourage you to get involved during worship by taking on one of these fulfilling roles:

  • Greeting
  • Ushering
  • Liturgist
  • Reader
  • Acolyte

You can also participate by bringing refreshments for sharing. We thank you for your willingness to serve the congregation in the spirit of fellowship.

Community Outreach

Zion’s community outreach efforts are an opportunity for you to be the hands and feet of Christ for our local community and the world. These opportunities are announced in our newsletter and Sunday bulletin announcements. Some of our Outreach Ministry efforts include:

  • Vine Maple Place – This effort “assists families in crisis by helping single parents and their children build lives of hope, stability, and greater economic self-sufficiency.”
  • KentHope – This Kent partnership is comprised of faith-based groups, Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission, businesses, local community service agencies and concerned individuals who are dedicated to reducing homelessness in our community. KentHope’s mission is to “…build community by providing stable pathways out of homelessness while caring for body, mind, and spirit.”
  • Lutheran World Relief – Founded by Lutherans, this effort seeks to create a future where “all people, in every corner of the world can live full, dignified lives.” Grounded in Lutheran theology, Lutheran World Relief helps people adapt to challenges by focusing their efforts on tackling global poverty.
